Got COVID? Doctors warn powering through it — even from home -- can worsen health toll (LA Times) - July 7, 2022
Physicians caution, however, that rest is an important part of weathering a COVID-19 infection. Plugging away from home is better than putting others at risk of getting infected, but it can still strain the immune system, worsening the toll of a COVID infection, experts say.
"Sleep equals immunity," said Dr. Susan Cheng, a cardiologist, researcher and professor in the Smidt Heart Institute at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. As it fights off the virus, "you want to have your immune system not distracted by anything else," including stress from work.

The Crash and Burn of Credentialism (Brownstone Institute) - July 7, 2022
The word credentials is derived from Latin for “believe” as in “Credo in unum deum” meaning “I believe in one God.” To have credentials is to have credibility, which is to say that people can and should trust you.
We saw this throughout the pandemic. If you did not have the right piece of paper – if you just wanted rights and liberties – your opinions did not count. Actually, even if you did have the right piece of paper and you disagreed with the professional consensus, you also did not count. And through this method, only one opinion prevailed. Those willing to say what Anthony Fauci wanted said rose to the top. Those who disagreed were cast aside.

The Senior Executive Service: Heart of the Medical Deep State (Brownstone Institute) - July 7, 2022
To understand and prioritize the stack of possible responses to the advanced state of corruption within the US Department of Health and Human Services, think of a pyramid-shaped hierarchy of problems and issues. The origin of these issues and the overall Administrative State can be traced to the Pendleton Act of 1883, which was established to end the patronage system which had preceded it. Just to illustrate the size and scope of the overall problem, see the Biden-Harris Management Agenda Vision statement, which represents how the Administrative State sees itself, its problems, and its proposed solutions.
Anatomy of the Administrative State: The HHS (Brownstone Institute) - July 7, 2022
Many have come to believe that if Dr. Anthony Fauci either resigns or is removed from his position as Director of the The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), then the whole COVIDcrisis problem of chronic, strategic and tactical administrative overreach, dishonesty, mismanagement and ethical breaches within the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) would be resolved.
Under this theory, Dr. Fauci is responsible for policies which were developed during the AIDScrisis and then flourished during the COVIDcrisis, and once the tumor is removed the patient will recover.
